Traffic connections

This map* shows Ariports in Croatia. The biggest Airport is in Zagreb which is situated 280 km west from Osijek. The City of Osijek has two Airports. The Sport Airport where European Championship will take place and Airport Klisa (this airport is on this picture) which is situated 20 km from Osijek.

If you plan to come by Airplane to Zagreb Airport, then you can rent a car and come to Osijek by motorway from Zagreb to Velika Kopanica (220 km - from Zagreb you follow direction Lipovac towards East) and then from Velika Kopanica to Osijek by State Road for about 60 km. Traffic regulations - the most important:

1. Speed limitations:

~ Motorway: 130 km/h

~ State Road: 90 km/h

~ Towns, cities, villages: 50 km/h, if other sign isn't posted at the beginning of place you enter

2. Car Lights:

~ Lights must be on 24 hours per day, during day or night

3. Seat belt:

~ Is neccecary in every sitting place in car which has it's own seat belt

4. Mobile phone:

~ It is not allowed to use your mobile phone during the ride. You can use it only if you have hands free device

5. Alcohol:

~ Driving while you have drinked alcohol is no allowed. There is 0,0 ‰ limit for alcohol in Croatia.

6. Pay Toll:

~ Motorways are using pay toll system. When you enter a Motorway you get a ticket, and at the exit you pay for km that you have travelled.
